Aston Villa are at Wembley in the Carling Cup final on Sunday 28th February 2010!

Should any clubs require an open date, then Clubs must inform Mike Imms of this requirement by midnight on Sunday 31st January 2010

Please note that each club is only allowed THREE open dates a season, so any club who has already taken their maximum allocation will not be allowed another date.

Please get together with your players as early as possible and decide what your plans are on this day and whether you will require a league fixture on this date..................Those remaining in the Worcestershire County Cup, please remember the 28th is an official County Cup conference date.

MESSAGE TO ALL CLUBS - UNREGISTERED PLAYERS

The League is becoming increasingly concerned at the number of unregistered players, playing in games in the Bromsgrove League this season - The league is currently investigating another batch of cases from recent games.

Would Club Secretaries please take extra care and attention to ensure that any player that is playing is correctly registered with the league.

Sending a registration card in the post, especially with the current Royal Mail strikes, is NOT sufficient guarantee and evidence that a player has been signed and that the card has been received/accepted by the league.

Should you wish the Registration Secretary to return the registration card docket slip back to you and you can not wait until the next league meeting, please enclose a S.A.E. Alternatively please contact the Registration Secretary by telephone to receive confirmation that the player is eligible to play. We would rather have 100 telephone calls than have to investigate ineligibility cases month upon month.

But remember the Registration Secretary is unable to attend to your query on a Sunday morning from about 9am onwards, so please get organised and seek out the registration situation in advance to avoid potential embarrassment.

In all instances should you have the slightest doubt as to whether a player has been registered or not, then the advice is to not play the player.

Thank you for your attention to this important matter.

Simon Burgess,
General Secretary.
